I have to agree with Colby's description of Half Nelson. It left much to be desired but Ryan Gosling's part was incredibly (cringingly) intense; so good that now I want to see the Notebook.

Ben, Brian, and I were all watching The Notebook one weekend night. When we saw that people started showing up we changed it to a basketball game, just to keep hold of what little manliness we have.

The Notebook is coming tomorrow. I also watched the Departed on my trip. A friend said it should have been titled "everyone dies" but then again, that would give it away.
There was something else I was going to ask you, but now I forget.
If you want Ryan Gosling in a good movie, get The United States of Leland.
