wolfgirl.

My heart slightly skipped a beat when Kiki Smith was mentioned in yesterday's GG. I love her work and we're working on getting her to come to RISD as a visiting artist. Its kind of a great compliment if you're written into a script, a sort of dovetail with pop culture. That's how I see it anyway.

Also. I never write about this type of stuff but I had to FF through parts of Veronica Mars - WOW. I'm getting excited for the marathon and cannot wait for next week. And then the next week we'll be back in Texas.

You had to FF? Why?

And you know that starting next week, they're re-airing all of the episodes so far this season, right? In case anybody missed them...?

Also, I was pleased about the Kiki Smith mention, too, but it's just another way these sad-sack new show runners are missing the boat on the Amy Sherman-Palladino-esque pop culture references. It felt slightly forced, and therefore, wrong.

Well, its nice because not a whole heck of lot of "normal" people in suburbia know who Kiki Smith is, but whatever. Its just TV. And actually, I'd rather people didn't know about her.
